Everything students, professors, and administrators ask us most.
Authentifi AI is a Trust Score platform that authenticates and measures genuine human contribution in AI-assisted academic work. Instead of trying to detect whether AI was used, we capture and score the moments where a student's own understanding shows up — attempts, corrections, decisions, and reflections — while they work.
AI detectors try to answer "was this written by AI?" — a question they answer unreliably, and one that treats AI use itself as the problem. Authentifi AI answers a different question: "did the human genuinely engage and understand?" We don't flag AI use. We surface evidence of human thinking, so an instructor can judge the work with real information instead of a probability guess.
No. We don't scan finished text for AI fingerprints. We capture the process of a student's interaction as it happens — the same way a professor might notice a student's understanding shift in an office-hours conversation — and turn that into a score and an evidence trail an instructor can review.
Right now: professors, students, and administrators at colleges and universities, starting with courses where AI-assisted work is already common. Longer term, we're building toward a broader authentication and provenance layer for any AI-assisted work — research, writing, and technical work included.
Authentifi AI is in private beta with pilot institutions. We're onboarding new pilot programs.
No. Authentifi AI never auto-grades or auto-penalizes anything. Your Trust Score and the evidence behind it are signals for your instructor — a human — to interpret. Using AI isn't the problem we're measuring; genuine engagement is what we're surfacing.
We look at your own messages and contributions during an AI-assisted conversation — where you ask questions, provide context, restate ideas in your own words, attempt to apply a concept, correct yourself, or commit to an answer. Low-effort exchanges and AI's own output aren't what drive your score — your visible thinking is.
Yes. Every score is tied to specific moments in your own conversation, and you can see exactly what generated it.
A per-assignment view of your class: each student's Trust Score, and a short, readable trail of the specific moments — not a full chat transcript — where their understanding visibly developed. You're meant to read a few highlights, not 40-message logs.
No. Authentifi AI never makes an academic integrity decision for you. Scores and evidence are there to inform your judgment, not replace it.
Minimal — Authentifi AI is designed to sit alongside how your students already use AI tools for coursework, not require a new platform for every assignment. Pilot professors work directly with our team during onboarding.
Yes — data handling and student privacy protections were built into the platform from the start, not added afterward. We're happy to walk your institution's compliance or IT team through our approach directly.
Academic integrity accusations without evidence create real institutional risk. Authentifi AI creates a consistent, defensible record of engagement across every course and department — not professor-by-professor guesswork — so decisions are grounded in evidence rather than suspicion.
Yes — we're actively onboarding pilot programs.
Authentifi AI was founded to solve a problem the founder saw firsthand: existing AI-detection tools don't tell educators what they actually need to know. The platform's core approach was built and validated against real student assignments before scaling into a full product.
